Myths vs. Facts

Myth: By signing on with JS Media, you commit to spending thousands of dollars on advertising per month.

Fact: If you’re a small business owner and you haven’t done any advertising in the past, we recognize that you might not be ready to make that commitment quite yet. Our mission is not to sell you ad space but to help you understand the full value of various advertising opportunities in your area. This way, you’ll be able to make a fully informed decision on whether or not advertising is worth the investment and, if it is, how you should spend your ad dollars. We charge a small initial consulting fee for our services (see here) but until you are ready to move forward with advertising, that’s all you’ll need to pay.

Myth: Advertising only works for big companies.

Fact: Small and mid-sized businesses can benefit from advertising just as much as larger businesses. It’s just a matter of having the right strategy. JS Media was founded on the principle that small- and mid-sized businesses should have access to the same advertising expertise as their larger counterparts. We use our strategic expertise along with comprehensive analysis to help our clients find affordable yet effective advertising solutions.

Myth: What has worked for your friend’s business will work for you as well.

Fact: Sometimes, this might be true, but not always. It’s important to understand that it’s unlikely that everything will be apples-to-apples with your business and your friend’s. You might be in different industries or different markets, cater to different demographics, have different objectives or different budgets. JS Media’s solutions are individually tailored to each client’s needs.

Myth: Advertising is an expense.

Fact: Advertising is an investment in your future. You don’t want to make the mistake of settling for advertising solutions that are cheap but ineffective. Your concern should not be cost but cost-effectiveness. There’s a science to determining the most cost-effective advertising solution for your business (see here) and at JS Media, we understand that science.
